China is ready to work with all parties to continue the implementation of the Global Development Initiative (IDM) and accelerate the implementation of the United Nations (Agenda 2030) to revitalize global development, said Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang on Tuesday.
Mr. Li made this statement at a high -level meeting on the IDM organized by China at the UN headquarters in New York.

In his speech, Mr. Li recalled that Chinese President Xi Jinping proposed the IDM at the United Nations General Assembly in 2021, emphasizing the widest interests of human society and calling for all parties to undertake to respect six fundamental principles, which played an important driving role in promoting common development.
More than 130 countries and international organizations have participated in the mechanism of implementing this crucial initiative, said Mr. LI, describing the initiative as a very popular international public good.
Currently, unilateralism and protectionism are up, international development cooperation has been seriously affected and the dynamic of global economic growth has weakened, said the Prime Minister.
To solve these problems, he called to continue efforts to emphasize development, to fully promote development and to unite the forces to enlarge the development cake.
First, Mr. Li called to create a stable international environment and open for development, to jointly safeguard the international system with the UN in its center, to join multilateralism and free trade, and to work for the construction of an open global economy.
Second, he urged to strive to build a balanced and inclusive development partnership, to pay greater attention to the needs of developing countries and to actively fight against unbalanced and insufficient development.
Thirdly, efforts should be made to cultivate innovation and development engines turned to the future, strengthen international cooperation in scientific and technological innovation, oppose the “construction of walls and barriers” and ensure that innovation and development really benefit the whole world, said Mr. Li.
Fourth, he called to promote more sustainable, more ecological and low carbon emission development, to strengthen global coordination in the field of new energies and other industries, and to work together to achieve more sustainable development characterized by a harmonious coexistence between humanity and nature.
China, underlined Mr. LI, will always be a supporter and a promoter of common development, and will take more active measures and will assume its responsibilities.
The country will continue to increase its investments in global development, to strengthen scientific and technological cooperation in order to promote global development, and to actively promote the green transformation of global development, the Prime Minister has assured.
As a large responsible country in responsible development, China will not seek to obtain new special and differentiated treatments in the current and future negotiations of the World Trade Organization (WTO), promised Li Qiang.
The Chinese government has presented the International Cooperation Initiative for IA+ and is delighted with the active participation of all parties, said Mr. Li.
China is willing to deepen global development cooperation with all countries on the basis of the IDM, and to jointly create a more prosperous and more beautiful future for the world, he added.
Participants expressed their support for the four major global initiatives and on the belt and road initiative proposed by President XI, praised the fruitful results of cooperation within the framework of the IDM, rented the exemplary and engine role played by China in the OMC reform process and welcomed the new initiative of China in matters of international cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence (IA).
They noted that the vision and practices of China were fully in line with the objectives and principles of the Charter of the United Nations, stressing the need to jointly defend multilateralism, to reform and improve global governance, to promote open and inclusive development and to preserve the common interests of the international community, in particular those of the Global South countries.
In a declaration published at the end of the meeting, the parties reaffirmed their commitment to give priority to development, to deepen cooperation within the framework of the Initiative for Global Development and to work together to implement the sustainable development program by United Nations 2030.
