An elegant and modern silhouette stands in the landscape: a bridge with three immense pylons in the shape of “O”. This is the site of the third bridge of the Ili river, in Yining, in the Ouïgoure autonomous region of Xinjiang. The main span junction was successfully carried out, and the project is now in the finishing phase, with a commissioning scheduled for September 30.
Once open to traffic, the third bridge of the Ili River will effectively link the cities of Yining and Kokdala, as well as the Autonomous District XIBE of QAPQAL. It will thus facilitate the shipment of local agricultural products outside the region and promote the creation of a tourist circuit.
