Starting today (January 10), the central and eastern regions will enter a warming channel. Until around the 14th, the cumulative temperature rise in many places from the southwest to the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River will exceed 10°C. At the same time, a new wave of cold air will affect the western region, and Northeast Xinjiang, central and western Inner Mongolia, etc. will experience a 4 to 6°C cooling. In addition, sunny and dry weather will continue in most parts of the central and eastern regions, and rain and snow will gradually weaken in the southwest and other places.

A new wave of cold air affects the central and eastern parts of the western region and the temperature gradually rises

As the cold air moves southward, the focus of cooling yesterday shifted to areas south of the Yangtze River. Wind gusts of magnitude 6 to 8 occurred in eastern and southern Xinjiang, western Qinghai, western and southeastern Inner Mongolia, southern Liaoning, and eastern Shandong, and local level 9 to 12 .

Three days from today, another wave of cold air will affect our country. This cold air mainly affects the western region. The temperature in some areas such as northeastern Xinjiang, central and western Inner Mongolia, eastern northwest China and most of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau has dropped by 4 to 6°C, with local temperatures above 8°C.

In most areas of the central and eastern regions, temperatures will gradually rise starting today. By around the 14th, the cumulative temperature rise in many places from the southwest to the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River will exceed 10°C. On the 14th, the maximum temperature in most parts of the south of the Yangtze River will be close to or exceed 20°C. C. Among big cities, the highest temperature in Hangzhou today is 5°C and will rise to 18°C on the 14th; in Changsha, the highest temperature today is 11°C and will reach 19°C on the 14th.

However, from the 14th to the 16th, cold air will affect the central and eastern regions of my country, bringing widespread strong winds and cooling weather. The time limit is far away, and the public should pay attention to the upcoming weather forecast.

The rain and snow in the southwest are gradually weakening, and the central and eastern parts are sunny and dry.

Yesterday, precipitation continued in parts of the southwest, and as the high-altitude trough moved eastward, weak snowfall also developed in the northwest. Live monitoring shows that there is light snow and localized moderate snow in parts of northern Xinjiang, northeastern Qinghai, central and western Gansu, Shandong Peninsula, eastern Jilin, central and eastern Heilongjiang, etc.; sleet or snow occurs in eastern Guizhou, southwestern Hunan and other places (rain).

In the next three days, there will still be rain and snow in the southwest and northwest regions, but the overall trend is to weaken. Most of the central and eastern parts have little rain and snow, with mostly sunny to cloudy weather.

Specifically, today, there will be light to moderate snow or sleet in parts of eastern Xinjiang, Gansu, northeastern Qinghai, western Inner Mongolia, eastern Sichuan Plateau, western Guizhou, and northeastern Yunnan. There was localized freezing rain in western Guizhou and other places. There will be light rain in parts of the Sichuan Basin, central and western Chongqing, central and western Guizhou, central and eastern Yunnan, northwest Guangxi, and central and eastern Taiwan Island.

Tomorrow, there will be light snow in parts of southwestern Tibet, northern Xinjiang, central Inner Mongolia, and central and northern Shanxi. Among them, there will be moderate to heavy snow in southwestern Tibet. There will be light rain in parts of the southern Sichuan Basin, northeastern Yunnan, and eastern Taiwan Island.

The day after tomorrow, there will be light snow or sleet in parts of most parts of Tibet and central Inner Mongolia. Among them, there will be moderate to heavy snow and local heavy snowfall in parts of southern Tibet and other places.

China Weather Network reminds that the southwest and northwest regions need to guard against the adverse effects of rain and snow on traffic. The central and eastern regions will continue to be sunny and dry. They also need to pay attention to the safety of fire and electricity and beware of fires.
