Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney arrived in Beijing on Wednesday for an official visit to China that will last until Saturday.
This visit marks the first trip by a Canadian Prime Minister to China in eight years.
At a press conference on Carney’s visit, a Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson said that China would like to take advantage of the visit to strengthen dialogue and communication, increase political mutual trust, expand practical cooperation, properly handle differences, address each other’s concerns, and consolidate the momentum of improving China-Canada relations so as to bring more benefits to the two peoples.
