The 21st China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO), which attracted a record 3,300 exhibitors, concluded Saturday in Nanning, capital of south China’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
The exhibition welcomed 3,300 exhibitors, including 2,004 in the main exhibition area in Nanning. Among them were 740 companies from ASEAN countries, according to Wei Zhaohui, secretary-general of the CAEXPO secretariat.
A new section has been introduced to highlight strategic emerging industries, showcasing the latest advancements and technologies in areas such as digital technology, new energy and smart connected vehicles.
This year’s exhibition resulted in the signing of 109 projects, 69% of which focus on the manufacturing industry. These projects cover key sectors, such as new chemical materials, new energy and energy storage, non-ferrous metals and machinery and equipment, as well as emerging industries such as low-carbon polymer materials and high-end semiconductor chemical materials.
Since its establishment in 2004, CAEXPO has actively built a platform for ASEAN enterprises to enter the Chinese market. The 22nd edition of CAEXPO is currently scheduled for September 17 to 21, 2025, with Myanmar as the country of honor.
