China organized a ceremony on Monday to commemorate the 88th anniversary of the beginning of the whole nation’s resistance against Japanese aggression.
An exhibition entitled “For the National Liberation and World Peace” was also inaugurated to commemorate the victory in the war of resistance of the Chinese people against the Japanese aggression and the world anti -fascist war.
The ceremony and the exhibition both took place at the Chinese people’s war museum against Japanese aggression, located near the Lugou bridge, also known as the Marco Polo bridge, where Japanese troops attacked Chinese forces on July 7, 1937, marking the start of the total invasion of China by Japan.
Cai Qi, member of the Permanent Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and member of the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the CCP, delivered a speech during this event and announced the opening of the exhibition.
