Chinese national legislators have submitted 269 proposals to the country’s annual legislative session, according to a balance sheet established on Saturday noon, the deadline for submission of proposals to the third session in the 14th National People’s Assembly (APN).
The session secretariat said on Sunday that it also received more than 8,000 suggestions from the deputies of the APN.
Among the proposals, 268 are linked to legislative work and one concerns control work, said the secretariat. He added that the proposals mainly covered legislation in key areas, emerging and linked abroad.
Suggestions cover a wide range of subjects, including consumption stimulation, promoting AI applications to stimulate economic growth, and the protection of rights and interests of private companies.
The secretariat studies these proposals and will write a report on their treatment which he will present to the presidium of the session for deliberation.
