Chinese Premier Li Qiang called for efforts to ensure the effective implementation of policies and ensure a good start for this year’s economic development, during his inspection in Jinan, a city in Shandong province, eastern China.
During his inspection tour on Thursday, Li also stressed the need to make efforts to implement policies as early as possible, quickly advance projects and ensure that the measures taken produce tangible results.
During a visit to a household appliance store, the PM noted that the government program for the recovery of consumer goods is of great importance in meeting the needs of the population in terms of quality of life, unleashing consumption potential, promote the modernization of industry and facilitate the circulation of the economy.
China will continue to implement the initiative with greater support, Li said, adding that procedures will be optimized to facilitate consumers’ spending.
Li also visited a battery charging and swapping station in Jinan. Noting that the number of smart new energy connected vehicles has continued to increase in the country, Li encouraged exploration and innovation efforts in the development of battery charging and swapping services and the fields related.
Steps should be taken to deepen the reform of the energy management system, transform the energy sector and foster new growth drivers, Li said.
While inspecting local infrastructure projects, he said modern stadiums and water systems were not only significant infrastructure projects, but also important for public welfare . He called for efforts to strengthen the supply of resources, such as funds and land.
As an economically developed province, Shandong should promote various policy measures and work arrangements to take effect as soon as possible, thereby further contributing to the country’s overall development, Li said.
