The China-Eurasie 2025 goods trade fair ended in Urumqi, the capital of the Ouïgoure autonomous region of Xinjiang (northwest), with considerable economic results and a larger international scope, its organizers said on Wednesday.
Contracts worth more than 417.9 billion yuan (around 58.4 billion dollars) were signed, bringing together 365 economic and commercial cooperation projects. On -site sales totaled 1.89 billion yuan, to which are added 3.25 billion yuan of preliminary agreements. The fair welcomed nearly 260,000 visitors, as well as 65 commercial and investment events.
Li Xuan, party secretary for the Xinjiang department of trade, highlighted the breakthroughs happened during the event, from its record scale to the enlargement of its international influence, including the emphasis on advanced industries.
The event attracted participants from 50 countries and regions, including exhibitors who, for the first time, came from Ethiopia, Zambia, Comoros and Senegal. A total of 27 countries had dedicated pavilions. With more than 10,000 buyers and professionals registered, this number has exceeded that of all previous editions combined.
