The 2025 edition of the International Commerce Fair of the Services of China (CIFTIS) ended Sunday in Beijing, with the signing of more than 900 agreements in sectors such as construction, information technologies and finance, highlighting strong global participation and innovation in digital trade.
Organized in the Shougang park in the Chinese capital, the event attracted participants from more than 60 countries and more than 20 international organizations. Companies in the Global 500 Fortune ranking, unicorns and leading companies in their sector have unveiled 198 achievements in fields such as artificial intelligence, fintech, health care and green technologies.
Among these, 109 corresponded to new products, with innovations in the fields of precision medicine, ultra-high definition audiovisual technologies, quantum photonic computers and Bionic cellular sensors.
“We will take full advantage of the role of CIFTIS as a platform to promote development, expand openness and promote innovative cooperation, allowing results and consensus achieved during this year’s fair to result in concrete effects,” said Zhu Guangyao, head of the Department of Trade and Commercial Services of the Chinese Ministry of Commerce.
The fair experienced a sustained negotiation activity, with Australia, the guest country of honor of this year, having concluded fifteen intentions of cooperation with Chinese partners in the fields of finance and education.
More than 8,500 business meetings were conducted on the digital platform for connecting the fair, while professional participation increased by 12% over one year to reach around 116,000 visitors.
A total of 45 cultural, commercial, tourist and sporting activities, including shows, sporting events and consumer markets, were organized in emblematic places of the Shougang Park, with eleven business tours offering immersive overviews on investment, culture and industrial tourism, according to Zhang Huayu, deputy director of the municipal commercial office of Beijing.
The five -day event attracted more than 250,000 visitors on site and counted approximately 5,600 virtual exhibitors. International participation has expanded, with the presence on site of exhibitors with 26 of the 30 main countries and regions of the world in terms of trade in services.
