A concert was held on Sunday evening at the Great Hall of the People to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China.
Chinese President Xi Jinping, other Party and state leaders including Li Qiang, Zhao Leji, Wang Huning, Cai Qi, Ding Xuexiang, Li Xi and Han Zheng, as well as retired senior leaders were among the more than 3,000 people who attended the concert.
The concert included orchestral music, choirs, traditional instrument ensembles, piano with an orchestra and other artistic expressions. The concert ended with the song “Ode to the Motherland” sung by the audience.
China’s National Day is celebrated every year on October 1.
