In the context of 25he Chinese-EU summit, where the leaders of the two parties stressed the importance of a stable relationship in the face of global challenges, a delegation of young European leaders actively explores the means to import Chinese innovation into their countries. Their visit to the Greater Baie Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao bay testifies to a common commitment to technological collaboration.

At the heart of innovation

Organized by the Association of the Chinese people for friendship with foreigners, the tour “A bridge towards the future: young European leaders to discover the Grande Baie” began on July 23 in Guangzhou (Guangdong). Participants experienced the autonomous buses of Weride there.

“It’s impressive. I really hope that my country will adopt these Robobus, ”confides in China in the present Sabina Mihailecu, co -founder and director general of Dearneighbour, the first Romanian initiative aimed at transforming urban communities into sustainable hubs. “Our current buses are obsolete and very polluting, the change is urgent. »»

Mate Koczka, owner of a Hungarian public relations agency, shared this enthusiasm after his visit to Weride and Pcitech, specialist in artificial intelligence (IA). “Modern high-tech solutions have exceeded my expectations. I would gladly welcome these innovations in Hungary. Autonomous vehicles, cameras systems powered by AI and traffic management are incredibly impressive and would be very beneficial. »»

Several others have expressed their admiration in the way in which the solutions controlled by AI transform daily life, workplaces and urban governance. Seduced by these applications, they are actively looking for Chinese partners to develop new axes of technological cooperation.

“The strategic developments in AI here align perfectly with the objectives of my business. Intelligent cities fueled by electric mobility fall into our field of expertise. I came to study advances in terms of equipment and AI. The manufacturing and technological excellence of China is remarkable. Moreover, we already integrate Chinese components in our projects, ”reveals Matias Acosta, CEO of a British supplier of IA solutions for CVC systems (heating, ventilation and air conditioning).

His company is developing real-time optimization software for comfort for the air conditioning of commercial buildings, aimed at reducing costs while improving well-being. “We need specialized equipment, a field where China excels. We will collaborate with local manufacturers to integrate our AI algorithmic layer into their systems, “he adds, confirming his intention to meet potential partners during his stay.

In tune with cooperation objectives

During his meeting with the president of the European Council Antonio Costa and the president of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, the Chinese president Xi Jinping called on both parties to deepen their green and digital partnership and to promote mutual investments and cooperation.

Austrian investor Stephan Katzgraber, specializing in recycling technologies, considers Chinese leadership in green technologies as determining. “Chinese companies are in the lead in areas such as IA assisting sorting machines. Its objective is to associate itself with Chinese companies to deploy these solutions in developing countries in South America, where demand for efficient waste management is experiencing strong growth.

An official of Weride confirms the growing interest of Europe. “Many European companies actively seek to collaborate after discovering our autonomous driving technology. The company’s Robobus already circulate in several European cities, including Barcelona, Zurich and Paris.

To the roots of future collaborations

“History and reality have proven that interdependence is not a risk and that the overlap of interests does not constitute a threat. This sentence from President XI during his meeting with European leaders found an echo among the young leaders.

“Consumers love Chinese products such as smartphones and cleaning robots for their convenience of use. »Stephan Katzgraber plans to arrive in Europe of more affordable Chinese and high -quality Chinese vehicles. “People judge according to quality, not politics. »»

“It is crucial to meet here with the new generation of world leaders to analyze the extraordinary opportunities that are available to us,” said Jacobo Garcia, president of the Global Youth Leadership Forum, during his speech on July 23 at the event “The Opening Bridge: Discover Guangzhou’s opportunities”. “Our world evolves quickly, and these future leaders must grasp the importance of the strategic partnership between the EU and China. This understanding is essential to offer solutions promoting ever greater peace and prosperity for our fellow citizens. »»

Referring to the Chinese-EU summit, Javier Hurtado Mira, president of the European Democratic Youth Community, emphasizes the importance of openness.

“We must keep all the doors open to friendship and cooperation between nations. His visit to Guangdong has strengthened his admiration for technological progress and the opening of China. “This opening offers valuable opportunities. Europeans should engage with China, and Chinese investors should explore Europe, thus building bridges that strengthen the economies of the two continents. »»

Very optimistic about the role of young leaders in promoting cooperation, he adds: “Young entrepreneurs have a distinct advantage: they are not cluttered in the past. Their attention is resolutely turned towards peaceful collaboration and the future, rather than towards the ideological divisions of the past. This approach turned forward, centered on mutual advantage, is very promising. Only the future will tell us, but I have confidence in its potential. »»

Michele Orzan, president of Eucham – European Chamber, underlines the need for balance: “We strive to harmonize the fundamental pillars of our society – the populations, the planet and prosperity – to guarantee their synergy. Economic success must serve social well-being, while imperatively preserving the environment for future generations. »»

This vision echoes China’s commitment in favor of a balanced and ordered multipolar world, as well as an inclusive and mutually beneficial economic globalization.
