China Daily, April 6 (Reporter Jiang Chenglong) According to the Ministry of Emergency Management, on the afternoon of April 6, Myanmar leader Min Aung Hlaing came to the camp of the Chinese rescue team in Mandalay to visit all members of the Chinese rescue team, China International rescue team, and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region rescue team, and expressed gratitude to the Chinese rescue team for their full rescue efforts after the earthquake. Min Aung Hlaing said that the Chinese rescue team came from afar to provide support, which is a vivid reflection of the friendship between the two countries. China’s rescue team has rich experience in cross-border search and rescue, and Myanmar looks forward to strengthening communication with China and expanding cooperation in emergency rescue, disaster prevention and mitigation.
As of April 6, Chinese rescue teams have rescued 9 survivors in Myanmar.
