The preparations for the military parade of the victory day marking the 80th anniversary of victory in the Chinese people’s war of resistance against the Japanese and the anti -fascist world war are practically completed, a military official said on Thursday.
The parade will present a wide range of weapons and equipment, many of whom will be unveiled for the first time, said Wu Zeke, deputy director of the office of the Military Parade and Higher Officer of the Joint Staff Department of the Central Military Commission during a press conference.
He noted that this event would highlight the last progress of the Chinese army in terms of modernization and strengthening of combat preparation.
The three general rehearsals were carried out with satisfactory results, said Mr. Wu, stressing that the troops remain full of enthusiasm and that all the military equipment was in perfect condition.
