Xinhua News Agency, Beijing, April 18th Title: The Grain Rain solar term is coming to experts to recommend scientific health and disease prevention

Xinhua News Agency reporters Li Heng and Dong Ruifeng

April 20th will usher in the Grain Rain solar term. On the 18th, the National Health Commission held a press conference with the theme of “Seasonal Solarity and Health”, inviting many experts to provide scientific health guidelines to the public from traditional Chinese medicine health care, cancer prevention and control, scientific exercise to infectious disease prevention and control.

Traditional Chinese medicine health care: adapt to the solar terms and condition the body and mind

With the arrival of the Grain Rain solar term, temperature fluctuations are large, which can easily cause health problems. Li Jie, chief physician of Guang’anmen Hospital of the Chinese Academy of Traditional Chinese Medical Sciences, reminded that at this time, the health principle of “spring cover should be followed, and the invasion of cold evil through moderate warmth should be prevented, and excessive cover should be prevented from causing “spring fire”.

For patients with chronic respiratory diseases, Li Jie recommends paying attention to keeping warm at the Dazhui point on the neck and Danzhong point on the chest, and wearing a mask when going out to reduce the stimulation of cold air. In terms of diet, you should choose ingredients that moisten the lungs and eliminate phlegm, such as pears, lilies, etc., to avoid raw and cold foods. People with weak spleen and stomach should pay attention to keeping their abdomen and waist warm. In terms of diet, the medicinal diet that strengthens the spleen and removes dampness, such as Poria cocos and yam porridge.

Regarding the statement that “heavy dampness leads to obesity”, Li Jie pointed out that obesity causes complex causes, and blindly removing dampness may damage positive energy and affect metabolism. Traditional Chinese medicine advocates healthy weight management that “varies from person to person”: people with damp and heat constitutions should pay attention to clearing heat and removing dampness, and people with spleen and stomach deficiency and cold constitutions can increase yang energy through moxibustion. Do not eat raw, cold and greasy foods and warm fruits that are rich in dietary fiber.

Cancer prevention and treatment: early screening and early detection, healthy life

Cancer is one of the major diseases that threaten human health. In recent years, with the acceleration of life pace and the increase in work pressure, the incidence of cancer has also shown an upward trend year by year. Scientific cancer prevention has become the focus of public attention.

Regarding lung cancer prevention and treatment, Xue Qi, chief physician of the Cancer Hospital of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, suggested that, first, actively quit smoking and stay away from second-hand smoke, eat a balanced diet, and insist on moderate-intensity exercise for 150 to 300 minutes per week; second, people at high-risk lung cancer should pay attention to cancer prevention physical examinations and actively screen; third, for patients with confirmed lung cancer, they should seek medical treatment as soon as possible to improve the efficacy and survival rate of patients through standardized treatment.

Regarding the daily nutritional support of cancer patients, Li Ziyu, chief physician of Peking University Cancer Hospital, pointed out that the goal of nutritional management of cancer patients is to avoid malnutrition, improve treatment tolerance, and reduce adverse reactions. Pay attention to adequate calories in daily diet, appropriately increase intake of high-quality protein to ensure balanced nutrition.

In response to the many dietary rumors about cancer patients circulating on the Internet, such as claiming that certain foods can fight cancer, not eating can starve cancer cells to death, and taking supplements can cure tumors, the National Health Commission reminds the public not to believe it lightly. Cancer patients should follow the doctor’s instructions for treatment. If you find health rumors or relatively obvious error information, you can log in to the “Rumor Refuting Platform” of the official website of the National Health Commission to report or verify it.

Scientific exercise: It is appropriate to avoid damage

Exercise is the cornerstone of health, but improper methods can easily lead to damage. Wang Jianquan, chief physician of Peking University Third Hospital, emphasized that scientific movements must follow the principle of “varied from person to person and progress step by step” and take protection in stages:

Before exercise, make appropriate preparations, pay attention to sports venues and environmental factors, and wear appropriate equipment; during exercise, choose items that are suitable for your own strength to avoid sudden increase in amounts; after exercise, pull and relax muscles and joints, and pay attention to rest.

If acute injuries such as spraining ankle or twisting the waist occur, Wang Jianquan recommends stop exercising immediately and try to go to the hospital for treatment. When swelling occurs, you can pressurize and bandage it. When resting, the limbs are raised higher than the heart, which is conducive to blood reflux. If a fracture is suspected, you can use a splint to protect it. If symptoms such as abrasions and bleeding occur, clean them up and disinfect them to prevent infection.

Regarding the statement that “the greater the intensity of exercise, the better”, Wang Jianquan pointed out that if there is palpitations, palpitations, sweating, muscle fatigue, etc., it means that the amount of exercise is already relatively large and the amount of exercise should be stopped or reduced. Ordinary healthy people have 3 to 5 hours of moderate-intensity exercise or 1 to 2 hours of high-intensity exercise and 2 strength training per week.

Infectious disease prevention and control: high incidence in spring, effective response

Spring is the peak season for respiratory infectious diseases. An Zhijie, a researcher at the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, said that in recent years, measles and rubella have been at a low level in my country, but the number of measles cases this spring has increased slightly in some regions, and overall it remains at a low level of less than one in a million. In addition, the number of reported cases of chickenpox this spring is basically the same as the same period last year.

An Zhijie said that measles, rubella and chickenpox are all transmitted through the respiratory tract, and people are generally susceptible to it, mainly in infants, preschool, school-age children and adolescents. Adults who have not been infected and have not been vaccinated before are also at risk of infection. It is recommended that children of appropriate age receive the Mistose vaccination and chickenpox vaccine in a timely and throughout the process.

Experts suggest that kindergartens, schools, etc. should implement preventive measures and morning and afternoon inspection systems. Parents and teachers should pay close attention to changes in children and their own physical health, and seek medical treatment in a timely manner if symptoms such as fever and rash occur. If the diagnosis is confirmed, they should be treated at home immediately to avoid close contact with the surrounding susceptible groups. At the same time, schools should also strengthen ventilation and disinfection in classrooms, dormitories and other places, and carry out publicity and education on infectious disease prevention and control.
