In order to consolidate and enhance the competitive advantages of the entire environmental protection equipment industry chain and promote the high-quality development of the environmental protection equipment manufacturing industry, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, and the State Administration for Market Regulation jointly issued several opinions on promoting the high-quality development of the environmental protection equipment manufacturing industry (hereinafter referred to as the opinions), focusing on promoting the sustained, healthy and stable development of the environmental protection equipment manufacturing industry and creating a trillion-level industry with international competitive advantages.
The main goals proposed by the opinion are: to strive to significantly increase the market share of advanced technology and equipment by 2027, the standard system will be more sound, the “shortcomings” of the technical equipment industry chain in key areas will be basically filled, and the “long board” technical equipment will form a domestic dominant pattern and foreign going global, and build a relatively complete environmental protection equipment supply system. By 2030, the “shortcomings” of the environmental protection technology equipment industry chain will be independent and controllable, the advantages of long-board technology equipment will be further expanded, the scale, product quality and comprehensive benefits of the environmental protection equipment manufacturing industry will be further improved, and a number of leading enterprises with strong industrial innovation capabilities and comprehensive competitiveness will be cultivated, and a number of leading enterprises with strong industrial innovation capabilities and comprehensive competitiveness will be promoted to comprehensively upgrade the environmental protection equipment manufacturing industry from traditional pollution control to green, low-carbon and circular development.

We will focus on the bottlenecks and lock points of the industrial chain and supply chain, carry out the “listing and leading” of key technologies, implement the three-year improvement action for major environmental protection technology and equipment, and deeply promote the application of new generation information technologies such as 5G and artificial intelligence in the fields of environmental protection equipment design and manufacturing, pollution control and environmental monitoring.
