CCTV News: At present, the Shenzhou 18 crew members Ye Guangfu, Li Cong, and Li Guangsu have been in orbit for more than 100 days. The three astronauts have carried out a number of space science experiments and experiments on the space station. What have they been busy with recently? Let’s take a look.
This is the working scene where the crew of Shenzhou 18 is conducting research on “The Impact of Space Environment on Biological Rhythms and Sleep and Its Guidance.” As a research project in the field of aerospace medicine, this experiment focuses on the composite environmental factors of weightlessness and isolation-restriction during long-term flight. The astronauts wear activity recording devices and heart rate collection equipment in orbit to collect relevant data and fill out sleep quality questionnaires every week. and other methods to study human sleep-wake rhythms, heart rate rhythms, sleep quality changes, etc. under long-term flight conditions, providing basic data and theoretical support for the re-adaptation characteristics of the human circadian rhythm system during long-term flight and the screening of guidance intervention targets.
In terms of human factors technology research, the crew carried out on-orbit testing and data collection for the “Research on the Changes of Operating Forces in Typical Attitudes on Long-term Orbit” project. This project compared and analyzed the differences between different types of operating forces and their on-orbit changes. The law of time changes is further explored to further explore the mechanism causing changes in operating force. In addition, the crew also conducted tests related to “Research on the Emergency Decision-making Capability of Astronauts on Space Station Missions.”
According to the plan, the crew also completed sample cleaning and replacement of the experimental chamber of the container-free material experimental cabinet, maintenance of the electrodes of the axis mechanism, etc., and performed operations such as setting and restoring the vacuum exhaust gas state of the combustion science experimental cabinet. At present, various scientific experiments and tests of space application systems are being carried out in an orderly manner.
Multiple tasks of testing + training + station affairs are carried out in parallel
In addition, the Shenzhou 18th crew continues to carry out work focusing on the environment and equipment maintenance and inspection of the space station, emergency life-saving on-orbit training, station management, health maintenance and security, etc.
Last week, the Shenshi Shiba crew completed the assembly of the upper cover of the urine flushing tank and the work related to water replenishment. The urine treatment subsystem is an important part of the space station’s environmental control and health preservation system, supporting the recycling of water resources in the space station. In addition, the crew also obtained space station cabin environment testing data through total organic carbon testing, cabin thermal environment testing, microbial sampling, and total volatile organic compound testing, so that ground scientific researchers can make assessments and fully protect the health of astronauts in orbit. Safety.

This is the scene of the crew’s on-orbit emergency life-saving training last week. As a regular on-orbit training project, astronauts need to practice emergency evacuation under various working conditions, quickly put on space suits and other projects, and deal with the special situation of a fire on the space station. Simulated emergency evacuation training was conducted under working conditions.
In addition, in terms of station management, the crew carried out tasks such as material sorting, garbage transfer and storage, general medical supervision consumables sorting and medicine inventory. In terms of health maintenance and security, a number of medical examinations including non-invasive cardiac function tests have been carried out. Non-invasive cardiac function tests can continuously monitor hemodynamic changes safely, non-invasively and easily, and evaluate the cardiac function of astronauts. Accurate, reliable and repeatable.
In the future, the three astronauts will continue to carry out various on-orbit work in an orderly manner according to the plan.
