Chinese President Xi Jinping called Jilin province on Saturday to continue the implementation of the strategic provisions of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party (CCC) on the overall recovery in northeast China in the new era and play a more important role in promoting Chinese modernization.
Mr. XI, also Secretary General of the Central Committee of the PCC and president of the Central Military Commission, made these remarks after listening to the work report presented by the PCC Provincial Committee for the Jilin and the Provincial Government, in Changchun, capital from Jilin.
Stressing that the Jilin had to focus on high -quality development, Mr. Xi asked the province to resolutely take the real economy as a cornerstone and to carry out coordinated development by transforming traditional industries, reinforcing the competitive sectors and by promoting the emergence of new quality productive forces.
Efforts should also be made to translate technological breakthroughs into actual productivity, he added.
Mr. XI noted that the overall deepening of the reform and the opening is crucial for the global recovery in northeast of China.
Related policies and regulations must be fully implemented in the process of deepening the reform of state assets and public enterprises as well as in promoting the development of the private economy, he said.
XI insisted on the importance of creating a first -rate commercial environment, in accordance with market rules, legislation and international standards, and to build a high -level open economy.
He encouraged the Jilin to give priority to the development of modern and large -scale agriculture, and to make coordinated progress in the application of technologies, the promotion of green development, the improvement of quality and the development of brands renowned in the sector.
Northeast of China, which includes the provinces of Heilongjiang, Jilin and Liaoning, has long been an essential industrial and agricultural base, in particular the day after the Foundation of the People’s Republic of China. The overall recovery in northeast of China is a major strategy adopted by the Central Committee of the PCC for the overall development of the country.
As a multiethnic province, the Jilin should fully apply party theories and policies concerning ethnic groups and the fundamental guidelines of the party for work related to religious affairs, to advance the construction of a community for the Chinese nation, and Promoting the exchanges and interactions between the different ethnic groups, continued Mr. Xi.
He also called for the implementation of measures to prevent and eliminate risks in strategic fields, as well as to maintain social stability.
Stressing that a high -quality development must be based on a high quality building of the party, Mr. XI called for constant efforts to combat unnecessary administrative formalities and tackle unhealthy and corruption behaviors, which bear directly attack on the interests of the population.
CAI QI, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the PCC and director of the General Directorate of the Central Committee of the CCP, attended the meeting on the work report.
