The Chinese president, Xi Jinping, congratulated the Zhi Gong party on Friday on Friday on the occasion of his centenary.
In a message of congratulations, Mr. XI, also secretary general of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party (CPC) and president of the Central Military Commission, urged the Zhi Gong party in China to unite the Chinese from abroad, the Chinese returns from overseas and their loved ones, as well as the Chinese students abroad, in order to make new contributions to the great revival of the Chinese nation.
As the oldest of the eight non-communist parties of China, the Zhi Gong party of China has always worked in solidarity with the CCP, bringing its wisdom and its strength to the struggles of the nation for independence, liberation, prosperity and the well-being of the people, said Mr. XI.
He expressed the hope that the party would remain faithful to its cooperation mission and would continue to unite the Chinese from abroad, the Chinese returned from overseas and their relatives, as well as the Chinese students abroad, by contributing to the cause of national reunification.
Founded in San Francisco, in the United States, in October 1925, the Zhi Gong party in China was mainly made up of Overseas Chinese returning to the country, relatives of Chinese from Overseas of the middle and upper strata, as well as other personalities with links with foreigners.
A conference marking the 100th anniversary of the Zhi Gong Party Foundation in China was held on Friday in Beijing. Li Ganjie, member of the political bureau of the Central Committee of the CPC and head of the Labor Department of the UNI Front of the Central Committee of the PCC, transmitted Mr. XI’s message at the event.
Wang HUNING, member of the permanent committee of the political bureau of the CPC central committee and president of the National Committee of the Political Advisory Conference of the Chinese people, participated in this event and made a speech there.
Wang called the Zhi Gong Party of China to continue to bring its wisdom to the deliberations and the administration of state affairs, to provide relevant suggestions and to help strengthen the new model of political parties of China.
He also asked the party to promote the unity of all the Chinese inside and outside the country, and to play a more important role in the progress of national reunification, as well as in the promotion of an international environment favorable for China.
