Xi noted that China has effectively implemented various policies, introduced a set of progressive measures, and steadily promoted high-quality development.

The economy showed signs of recovery, reaching GDP growth of 5%, he added.

A series of new breakthroughs have been made in cutting-edge science and technology, which have greatly boosted the development of new-quality productive forces, Xi said.

He also stressed vigorously developing the cause of multi-party cooperation.

Xi said China will implement more proactive and effective macroeconomic policies, focus on high-quality development, and promote greater autonomy and strength in the field of science and technology, in order to maintain solid momentum for social and economic development in 2025.

Xi called on non-communist political parties, the FNICC and non-party-affiliated figures to concentrate on core tasks, serve the overall interests of the country, and leverage their respective strengths to rally broader support. support, build consensus, as well as pool wisdom and strength.

He stressed that efforts should be made in 2025 to successfully achieve the goals set in the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-2025) and lay a solid foundation for the next five years.

Xi expressed hope that non-communist figures will pool all positive elements to advance development and actively contribute to further deepening reform in an all-round manner, promoting high-quality development and formulating the proposal on the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-2030).

He also stressed the need to focus on critical and difficult issues in supervising the protection of the Yangtze River ecosystem.

The FNICC should guide the private sector to maintain enthusiasm for entrepreneurship, enhance confidence in development, and establish and improve a modern enterprise system with Chinese characteristics, Xi added.
