Xi Jinping, secretary general of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party (CPC), paid tribute to the martyrs who fell on Martyrs on Monday in a major campaign of resistance against Japanese aggression during its inspection in Yangquan, in the Chinese province of Shanxi (North).
On the place of the commemorative monument of the campaign of the hundred regiments carried out during the war of resistance against Japanese aggression, Mr. XI deposited a basket of flowers in tribute to the martyrs, before visiting the commemorative room dedicated to this large campaign.
During his visit, Mr. Xi reviewed the history of the courageous struggle of the military and civilians against the Japanese invaders, under the direction of the CCP. He was also informed about the local efforts deployed to implement the teaching of revolutionary history and promote the great spirit of resistance to aggression.
