Chinese President Xi Jinping held talks with President Jose Ramos-Horta of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste in Beijing on Monday, saying China’s overall deepening of reform will provide new impetus and opportunities for global economic development and bilateral cooperation.
Noting that the third plenary session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China was successfully held two weeks ago, Xi said China will continue to deepen reform in an all-round manner, and promote high-quality development and high-level opening-up, injecting new impetus and opportunities into global economic development as well as China-Timor-Leste cooperation.
China is willing to work with East Timor to push the two countries’ comprehensive strategic partnership to a new level and bring more benefits to the two peoples, he added.
