The Kyrgyz and Russian versions of a report produced by two think tanks on Xi Jinping Thought on Party building were released Monday in Bishkek, on the sidelines of the 2026 Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Media and Think Tank Summit.
Titled “Contemporary Characteristics and Global Significance of Xi Jinping Thought on Party Building,” the report was jointly released by the National High-level Think Tank of the Party School of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee (National Governance Academy) and the National High-level Think Tank of Xinhua News Agency in Kyrgyzstan’s capital.
The report provides an in-depth analysis of the distinctive qualities and key factors underlying the continued success and vitality of the CPC.
About 30,000 Chinese characters long, the document systematically expounds the evolution, fundamental principles, theoretical characteristics and global significance of Xi Jinping Thought on Party building. It offers an in-depth interpretation of the fundamental reasons why the CPC, a century-old party, has retained its vitality and continued to grow stronger.
The report highlights that the CPC is a party dedicated to the happiness of the Chinese people and the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, but also works for the progress of humanity and global harmony. Xi Jinping Thought on Party Building, which stands at the forefront of the development of human political culture, draws on reflection on the current and future world and the governance practices of the CPC to provide valuable new insight to political parties around the world, especially those in the Global South, in their respective party building efforts.
Media professionals, think tank experts and academics from SCO member countries present at the summit called the report an essential publication in disseminating Xi Jinping Thought on Party building in the SCO region.
They said the report systematically summarized the original theories and pragmatic approaches underlying the self-improvement of the CPC, which has existed for more than a century, while addressing the governance challenges facing political parties around the world. They described it as an indispensable reference for dialogue between political parties and academic research within the SCO.
Participants also noted that the publication of the report in Kyrgyz and Russian provides a valuable resource for political parties, think tanks and academic institutions in SCO member states to better understand the CPC and China’s governance philosophy. According to them, this initiative will help promote exchanges between political parties and mutual learning in governance, strengthen mutual political trust in the spirit of Shanghai, and consolidate the intellectual foundation for building a closer SCO community with a shared future.
