The volume IV of Xi Jinping: China’s governance offers a detailed analysis of the measures taken by the Chinese Communist Party (CCC), under the leadership of President Xi Jinping, to navigate through unprecedented challenges for a century. The book illustrates how the Chinese party and the people have mobilized to achieve the ambition to build a society of average ease in all areas.
This volume aims to shed light on both managers and the general public on Xi Jinping’s thought concerning Chinese socialism for a new era. He also intends to inform the international community of the latest developments of this thought, offering an overview of the success of the Chinese people under the direction of the CCP and the prospects for future success. The book also describes the development trajectory chosen by China, which is crucial for developing countries wishing to eradicate poverty, achieve sustainable development and promote national progress focused on inclusion and equity, with a global vision.
The reader will discover in this book a profusion of new visions, ideas and strategies proposed by President XI concerning the reform and development of China, the consolidation of the party, as well as national, military and international governance.
Through the reading of this work, I was particularly marked by six key chapters and concepts, including the global leadership of the party, the primacy of the people, popular democracy over the whole process, quality development, the community of destiny for humanity, as well as global governance and multilateralism. The book demonstrates how these initiatives have been materialized in action which collected vast support, brought prosperity and stability, and generated tangible profits for populations around the world.
Transformer leadership
The book highlights the energetic leadership of President XI, who guided the Party and the Chinese people through transformations and the opening of new ways. It offers a careful analysis and an advanced evaluation of the theoretical and practical questions crucial for party development. Under his leadership, the party has expressed remarkable ability to self-reform and convert strategies into tangible action.
President XI constantly places the people at the heart of his development philosophy. For him, the development of China is by the people, for the people, and their profits must be shared with the people. This approach centered on the people, as well as their commitment to leaving no one aside on the way to “the full construction of the society of average ease”, led to remarkable advances in the eradication of poverty and promotion quality development.
During his career, President XI was a fervent defender of popular democracy, regularly affirming that democracy is a universal value and an ideal ardently supported by the CCP and the Chinese people. The book illustrates how the Chinese president has effectively led efforts to strengthen popular democracy with a full process, a concept he has promoted to improve the Chinese political system in response to the inadequacies observed in Western democracy.
Under the leadership of President XI, China has carried out significant advances in the improvement of institutions, standards and procedures of socialist democracy, expanding participation in socialist consultative democracy. He vigorously defended the harmonization between the leadership of the party, the management of the country by the people and the governance focused on the law, to preserve China from the historical cycles of ascension and decline.

Quality development
President XI’s new development paradigm is characterized by a modern, innovative, coordinated, ecological, open and shared approach. This strategic choice marks a new phase for China, thus meeting developments in internal and international contexts.
While stimulation of domestic demand remains a strategic priority, China opens more and more in the world, seeking to promote high quality development, both for itself and other nations, as part of Projects such as the “Belt and Road” initiative (ICR).
For President XI, quality development must satisfy the growing aspirations of citizens to a better life. This implies a passage from the simple quest for growth to a search for qualitative growth, favoring efficiency, equity, sustainability and safety. The strategy provides for a progressive elimination of obsolete production capacities and outdated technologies, while promoting the emergence of green industries and the development of technologies linked to renewable energies. This transition to a green and innovative development model aims to establish a harmonious coexistence between humanity and the environment.
A shared community of destiny
In 2013, President XI introduced the concept of the construction of a community of destiny for humanity. Since then, this concept has developed in a global vision, increasingly recognized by an increasing number of countries and international organizations. Endotated by the PCC, it embodies the strategic vision of China for a new world, fair and fair world order, based on openness, inclusion, equity and mutual respect. This book reveals that the last decade has been marked by continuous advances in the application of this vision, going from bilateral dimensions to multilateral, regional and ultimately global, with unprecedented results.
The book underlines the firm commitment of China to global governance and multi-lateralism, highlighting the importance of international institutions and executives. China advocates collaborative approaches to face global challenges such as climate change, trade and security, while promoting reforms of global governance structures to better reflect the interests and votes of developing countries, in favor of ‘A fairer international order.
This vision responds to the universal aspiration of peoples around the world for peace, development and cooperation, and traces an essential path to solve global problems. Under the aegis of this vision, China proposed and promoted the implementation of constructive initiatives such as the ICR, the Initiative for World Development, the Initiative for World Security and the initiative for civilization global.
In conclusion, this work, authority, systematically details the fundamental elements of the reflection behind the vision of President XI and illustrates how it was materialized in action. He also develops the application of Chinese socialism for a new era and his vision of diplomacy, offering readers from all walks of life an in-depth understanding of the scope of this vision and the principles underlying Chinese diplomacy.
