CCTV News (News Network): On February 14th local time, the Chinese animated film “Nezha 2” was officially released in North America. The pre-sale box office and screening volume of the film both set a new record for Chinese-language films in North America in the past 20 years. The theater even added midnight shows to meet the needs of the audience.
The audience who watched “Nezha 2” that day generally praised the overall animation effect and production level of the movie. Some American audiences also believed that “Nezha 2” gave him a new understanding of Chinese mythology and the cultural value it contained.

It is understood that “Nezha 2” was released simultaneously in 770 theaters in more than 400 cities in 48 local states and 42 cities in Canada were released in 10 provinces.

In Oceania, “Nezha 2” was officially released on February 13, with a scale of 124 theaters, setting a record for Chinese-language film scheduling in the past 20 years. Previously, new Chinese Spring Festival films such as “Detective Chinatown 1900”, “The Gods 2” and “Operation Dragon” set records of the same period of Chinese-language films in the local box office and market ratings when they were released in France, the United Kingdom, Spain and other regions.
