Province of Yunnan, the main supplier of flowers in China, exported fresh flowers cut worth 760 million yuan in 2024, up 34.2% over a year, ranking first in the country for the sixth consecutive year, according to Kunming customs statistics, provincial capital.
These flowers have been mainly exported to Thailand, Japan, Singapore and the United States, as well as other countries and regions.
As an important basis for producing and exporting flowers in China, Yunnan, thanks to its climate and favorable geographic conditions, produces high quality flowers.
In order to contribute to flower exports, Dianzhong customs, administered by Kunming customs, have strengthened the daily supervision of planting bases, processing factories and packaging factories of fresh cut flowers. They also help local companies to set up a more complete quality control system and improve their capacity in terms of planting.
In order to increase the efficiency of the customs clearance of flowers, the customs of Dianzhong have carried out, for a test, the remote control of the flowers intended for exports. Customs agents can be connected by video to companies to see the high definition image of the export site in real time, and carry out the opening, control and other online operations.
Kunming customs will continue to promote intelligent and computerized supervision and optimize customs clearance services to help Yunnan flowers to flourish worldwide.
