In the 1990s, the deepest well in the world took 23 years to drill 12,262 meters. The deep-ground Taco well 1 took only 279 days to drill from the surface to the point where it reached 10,000 meters, making it the “fastest” of onshore drilling in the world. As one of the important means of entering the ground, ultra-deep drilling is called a “telescope” that penetrates deep into the earth. The Deep-Ground Taco 1 well has become a landmark project for my country to advance to the deep earth.
In recent years, my country has continuously marched into the deep earth, setting new records of deep development many times, providing sufficient basic conditions, technical reserves, and experience accumulation for the implementation of the 10,000-meter deep well project, and laying the foundation for continuing to refresh the “China Depth”.
