The National Health Commission maintains a “zero tolerance” attitude towards such illegal acts, and will cooperate with medical insurance, drug supervision and other departments to instruct Wuhan and other places to strengthen local responsibilities, strengthen penetrating supervision of medical institutions, continue to crack down on illegal and irregular acts, and effectively protect the health rights and interests of the people.

The reporter’s investigation found that what the drug recipient calls “medical insurance cash withdrawal” means that after the insured person uses a medical insurance card to purchase the drug at a pharmacy, the drug recipient recycles it at different discounts. For example, if you withdraw 60 to 30% off, the insured person will purchase about 10,000 yuan of medicines and sell them to the drug recipients, you can get cash ranging from 6,000 to 7,000 yuan.
The recycled drugs are illegally resold by the recipient and are sold again on the market, which is commonly known as “return drugs”. When some medical institutions sell “return drugs”, they are afraid of problems after consumers use them, and they may even tear off the labels on the medicine bottle.
