China Earthquake Network officially determined that a magnitude 3.0 earthquake occurred in Gulang County, Wuwei City, Gansu at 04:27 on April 20, 2025 (37.27° north latitude, 102.95° east longitude), with a depth of 10 kilometers. There was a slight tremor in Gulang County and Heisongyi, Huangyangchuan, Shibalibao, Gufeng, Dingning and other townships.
After verification, the epicenter is located in Xiaopo Village, Heisongyi Town, Gulang County (formerly Chashutai Village), which is close to the epicenter of the 3.0-magnitude earthquake on April 17, with a longitude difference of 0.01 degrees and is about 22.38 kilometers away from Gulang County (government location). The closest town (street) to the epicenter of Gulang County is Heisongyi Town, about 9.83 kilometers; the closest village (community) is Xiaopo Village, Heisongyi Town, about 7.71 kilometers.
After the earthquake, Gulang County immediately inspected the county’s houses, schools, hospitals, road traffic, bridges, reservoirs (pools), power communications, agricultural and animal husbandry facilities, factories and mining enterprises, etc., and all emergency and fire rescue forces gathered on standby.
After investigation and verification, Chashutai Village, Heisongyi Town, epicenter, was an immigration relocation area. The earthquake had little impact on Gulang County, and no reports of casualties and property losses were received. The electricity, water supply and communication were normal, there were no abnormalities in the hidden dangers of geological disasters, and no damage to reservoir dams, bridges, and enterprises occurred. The social order was stable.
