A spokesperson for the Ministry of Commerce answered reporters’ questions about Boeing’s flight back and intended delivery of the plane.

A reporter asked: According to media reports, recently, Boeing flew back three Boeing 737Max aircraft to be delivered to Chinese airlines, saying that China has stopped receiving Boeing passenger planes. What is China’s comment?

A: We have noticed the relevant reports. China and the United States have maintained long-term mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of civil aviation, which has effectively promoted trade and personnel exchanges between the two countries. The US has wielded the tariff stick to severely impact the stability of the global industrial chain and supply chain, disrupting the international air transportation market, and many companies are unable to carry out normal trade and investment activities. China’s relevant airlines and Boeing in the United States have suffered greatly. China is willing to continue to support the normal business cooperation between the two countries, and hope that the United States can listen to the voices of enterprises and create a stable and predictable environment for the normal trade and investment activities of enterprises.
