The Zhejiang, a major province of foreign trade in China and a key player in Sino-African trade, is actively preparing to participate in the 4th economic and commercial exhibition China-Africa.
This biennial event will take place from June 12 to 15 in Changsha, capital of the Chinese province of Hunan (Center). During a recent promotion conference upstream of the exhibition, an official of the Zhejiang trade department announced that the province would set up an exhibition pavilion during the event to present its main socio-economic achievements as well as the recent advances in its cooperation with Africa.
Zhejiang flagship and technological solutions for Africa will also be highlighted in the pavilion by key companies in Sino-African cooperation, he added.
In addition, managers of organizations and businesses, such as the Zhejiang-Africa Service Center and the China-Africa Chamber of Commerce in Yiwu, shared, during the promotion conference, their investment experiences in Africa and industrial collaboration, thus providing practical advice to participating companies.
In recent years, the Province of Zhejiang has intensified its economic and commercial cooperation with Africa, obtaining notable results while encouraging the “internationalization” of its companies. In the first half of last year, the bilateral commercial volume reached $ 27.88 billion, up 3% compared to the same period of the previous year.
The economic and commercial exhibition China-Africa constitutes an essential platform for economic and commercial exchanges between local Chinese communities and African countries. The 2025 edition will offer many economic and commercial activities around the fields of cooperation such as infrastructure, agriculture, clean energy, textiles and clothing, digital economy and green minerals.
