On the morning of January 1, Shandong’s first China-Europe freight train in 2025 slowly drove out from the Dongjia Railway Freight Center Station in Jinan, loaded with export goods and sent to Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and other Central Asian countries.
According to Zhang Yangjin, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager of Shandong Hi-Speed Group, the cargo value of this first train is about 15 million yuan and is expected to arrive at the group’s assembly center in Almaty, Kazakhstan, in 7 days.
Zhang Yangjin said that as the overall operator of Shandong China-Europe freight trains, the group will further promote the integrated development of freight trains with cross-border e-commerce, transportation and trade integration, supply chain finance and other business formats this year, embed the upstream and downstream industrial chains, and promote the formation of freight trains. Listed as a leading industrial ecological system, it helps the province’s foreign trade development.
On the same day, Shandong held a series of activities of “Thousands of Enterprises Going to the Sea and Lumao Global”, organizing the first train, first flight, first cargo ship, first loan, first order, etc. in 2025 to be launched at the beginning of the new year. The reporter learned from the Shandong Provincial Department of Commerce that the first foreign trade flight in 2025 will fly from Yantai to Japan, carrying electronic products, cross-border e-commerce packages, international express (mail), etc.; the first ship will set sail at Qingdao Port, loading electronic products. , clean energy products, etc. are shipped to Turkey, Greece, Italy, France and other countries.
Wang Hong, deputy director of the Shandong Provincial Department of Commerce, said that deeply exploring new markets, cultivating new driving forces, and integrating new business formats are the main goals of Shandong Province in exploring international markets in 2025. Shandong will introduce a series of policies and measures to promote enterprises to go overseas, focus on advantageous industries and high-tech and green products, support enterprises to participate in more than 360 overseas exhibitions, organize and hold 50 international precision procurement activities, continuously improve the international marketing public service system, and promote trade and investment Collaborative development.
Since 2024, Shandong Province has actively promoted foreign trade companies to explore international markets by integrating resources, optimizing policies, and innovating models. In the first 11 months of 2024, Shandong’s total import and export volume was 3.05 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 3.1%. Among them, exports were 1.87 trillion yuan, an increase of 6.9%.
