A press center for the upcoming annual sessions of China’s legislature and political advisory body opened Friday at the Media Center Hotel in downtown Beijing.
The fourth session of the 14th National People’s Congress (NPC) and the fourth session of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) will open on March 5 and 4, respectively.
More than 3,000 journalists have registered to cover this year’s two sessions, including more than 1,000 from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and abroad, according to the press center.
A series of press conferences and events will be held, during which senior government officials will answer journalists’ questions and explain major policies and development directions.
